Yesterday I got a call from the local camera shop letting me know that my new Canon 7D camera was in stock and ready to be picked up. I'll spare you the technical aspects but it looks to be the best camera I've ever owned and that is saying a lot coming from an owner of the Canon 1D mark III.
Under normal circumstances, I'd be playing with it constantly, reading the manual, learning its nuances…taking LOTS of pictures.
But instead I find myself more concerned over the well being of another photographer and friend dealing with a stout case depression. I suggest that you read her blog and drop her a note of encouragement, she could use as many positive thoughts as possible.
