Jack's personal paparazzi
Devoted dad and husband of 10 years, unofficial office paparazzi, love the outdoors and college sports (go Bruins!).
College: UCLA (BA) history and WCSU (MA) in American History
I shoot primarily with a Canon 7D. My lens lineup includes: 16-35mm f/2.8, 28-70mm f/2.8, or 70-200mm f/2.8 IS. Just learning how to use the video functionality of the camera.
When I photograph, I'm almost always in aperture priority mode and near wide open. Shooting with a wide aperture gives a very shallow depth of field; it is the resulting blur (or bokeh) which inspired the name of my blog. I dream of someday expanding my lineup of lenses to include some of the more magical primes such as the 85mm f/1.2.
I work in social media at Tiny Prints, an online retailer specializing in all types of photo cards on card stock and a wide variety of bridal stationery.
My wife, son and I live in Los Altos, CA where we enjoy the nearly year round sun. In addition to living elsewhere in the state, I have also lived in Connecticut and Wisconsin.
If I had the means to do so, I'd travel more. Some places on my list: Barcelona, San Sebastian and Bilbao in Spain, Greece, Italy, The Balkans in Europe, Argentina and Chile in South America to name a few.
Spent some time in Madrid, Granada and Seville in Spain, Budapest Hungary, Vienna Austria, Brugge & Brussels Belgium, Amsterdam Netherlands, Paris France, London, Oxford & Cambridge England, and Edinburgh, Stirling & Loch Ness Scotland.
